Be Cautious When You are Being Sold Very Cheap Computers

very cheap computersWhen shopping for a computer you need to think twice about looking at anything that is advertised by saying "very cheap computers".

There is a rule that holds true and that is you get what you pay for. I am not saying that a good deal is something to shy away from, on the contrary it is always smart to shop the bargains however if the price is just way below what is on the market you may want to ask a lot of questions.

You need to find out first of all if the computer in question is set up for your needs. The person selling it is trained to find out your want and needs and will find a way to seem as if this computer is a perfect fit so knowing what you need is crucial!

Has this computer been sold before and returned? Lots of stores have open box items that are marked down for many reasons. Sometimes it is because it had a little scratch or maybe it was used as a floor model. The biggie that you really need to know about is if the computer had been returned because it did not work! Stores take them back and repair them and mark them down to sell again.

Do your homework and do not be too quick on the draw with your bank card while you are shopping for very cheap computers.

Cheap Apple Computers Are Great Value

cheap apple computersI have a love/hate relationship with my computer as I know many people do. We need them and that makes us hate them. If anything goes wrong we understand the dilemma this can cause us!

Showing my age is something I really do not like doing but I am amazed how far computers have come since the 1970’s when nobody ever dreamed of owning their own personal computer.

My brother started talking crazy talk about wanting an Apple. We just ignored him for the most part as he always spoke about technology and things we didn’t understand. We just hoped he would tune in to star trek and stop trying to explain what an Apple was.

After working as a bus boy my brother did get his Apple and we all were amazed and had so much fun with it. It was quite different from today’s standards but nothing like the first Apple1 made in 1976 by Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak. Rumor has it that this is a photo of it! It was more of a mother board (another word that used to send us rolling with laughter on the floor!)

You would think that this unusual machine would be considered new and risky and would not sell for much but it sold for $666.66. (What is up with that number?) It sold to Joe Torzewski in August of 1977 and he ended it selling it for 30k! So I guess the original sales really were a good deal on a cheap apple computers.

Zonbu Launches A Cheap Notebook Computer!!!

cheap laptop computers
The age of super-cheap and functional computers keeps moving forward. Zonbu is introducing a $279 notebook computer, made by Everex. The Zonbu Notebook is based on the same operating system as the award-winning Zonbu Mini desktop computer.

Starting at $279 upfront and a $14.95 monthly subscription fee, the Zonbu Notebook and service will include a 20 best-of-breed software applications, free and automatic software upgrades, generous online storage, file remote access and sharing, automatic data back-up, unlimited online tech support and free hardware replacement in case of damage. Best of all, it eliminates the need to spend any time managing the PC, or to spend money on anti-virus packages, back-up storage or firewalls.

"People fell in love with the Zonbu Mini because it freed them from all of the hassles associated with computer maintenance," said Zonbu CEO Gregoire Gentil. "Now they can have the same benefits on-the-go with the new Zonbu Notebook." According to Gentil, people shouldn't have to be their own IT administrators. "We don't want people to spend a single minute worrying about configuration, setup, crashing hard drives, viruses, hackers, or data loss. That's our job," said Gentil.

The new notebook computer will be manufactured by Everex and has received the EPEAT silver rating from the Green Electronics Council. "We were intrigued by Zonbu's commitment to radically simplifying the computing experience for consumers and eliminating all of these hassles, said Everex CEO John Lin. "We're excited to bring such an affordable and easy-to-own alternative to the market."
