Cheap Computers 365 -
From Cheap Computers 365, The Wisconsin Department of Justice leveled a civil suit yesterday against BlueHippo Funding and its owner Joseph Rensin for marking up electronics and price-gouging them to poor people.
Wisconsin alleges that BlueHippo's companies advertise cheap computers and other electronics on television and on the Internet. The advertisements are meant to target low-income people with poor credit. According to the complaint, the company deceives buyers into believing that buying computers on a credit plan gives them a better deal. The state alleges that BlueHippo also prices its products significantly higher than products sold in mainstream stores.
More than fifty of BlueHippo's customers complained to the State of Wisconsin and the Better Business Bureau when they never received products purchased from the company or the free computers BlueHippo promised.
The company has been sued in at least 2 other states, Illinois and West Virginia.
